another 'inspire me' piece. Dedicated to who gave me elegant motion. started before computer woes & my mojo with it seemed to fade after...
stock is from ~SStocker misc. brushes that I cant find, all my links went bye-bye with computer crash, hopefully they will be re-found and credited soon.
between work, family & computer woes.. I am not around a lot. thank you to old and new watchers, old friends and friends not yet met.
ps. love the new mature filter tag 'Ideologically Sensitive'
You did an amazing job... I'm like in love with it lol The colors, tones, lyrical lines are sooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!! Very balanced! I love the transparency and splatters!
This is a beautiful piece, and really does capture "elegant motion" well. I love the smooth shading and highlighting, and the angle and flow of the woman's body is wonderful. The contrast between the realism in the hand on her stomach and the comparative lack of detail in the rest of her body creates an interesting effect, and kind of gives me the impression that the swirls are sort of weaving together to create the features and that the hand is already complete while the rest of her body is still in various stages of progress. Overall this is a beautiful piece, and I am immensely impressed (as always) by what you are able to create with just a couple of words for inspiration.
Thank you, I think the s curve of her body really attracted me to the original, and the dance like quality of the pose to me was elegant and strong. I still cant decide if she is coming together or apart though..finding her place within herself or with in the external.Even at 41yo I feel like that.

You are either pitiful or powerful... you can't be both.
You're welcome. The curve definitely feels strong and elegant, and I can see both the coming together and falling apart aspects. Finding your place within and in the external does seem to be one of those cycles of life where one can often find oneself fluctuating between the two. I can definitely pick out periods in my life where one or the other seemed more dominate.
shit that is beautiful. look at the way the edges of her skin disintegrates into the swirls.
it's that blissful feeling u get when you know you are...Complete. simply exquisite
it's also quite interesting how you made the rest of the body glossy & airbrushed except for the hand, which retains its photographic quality. any intention/reason of doing that?

Thank you!!! The hand is the core the 'center'.. I think I see it as if you have a solid core.. the strength and courage of your convictions..the rest is ..fluid..free to grow and adapt accept the chaos and change..the random, and not completely fall apart. If that makes sense to you. I've had a long lesson in trying to accept what I cannot change this past couple years, which for some comes easy..for me not so much! lol.

i see! wow, the significance is beautiful as the work itself!
so you've found it then? i haven't. many of us haven't.. most people see that acceptance as a kind of...complacence or surrender. but smtimes i guess surrender is not a bad word. doesn't make u a loser, to deal with things you cannot change instd of ranting & raging against the tide. idk. it's real tough to come to terms with that. but well, i think you've certainly attained a degree of wisdom most have not!
