And each time i tell myself that i,
well i think i've had enough,
But i'm gonna show you, baby,
that a woman can be tough.
~Janis Joplin~

Breast cancer isnt a death sentence!
I wanted to try and show the pain and beauty..
the strength it takes.. to fight..to keep holding on....

I don't s' pose I'll win the contest.. I only hope that those who happen upon this think, support, show compassion and empathy.

Go check the other entries and show some love

Firstly let me say this an expired photo-manipulations, it is entirely too common place lately for people to opt for the simple less challenging pieces, and you always try to go that extra mile and give us something unique, so kudos for that!

I love what you did with the textures and how well the transition.
There is a lot going on here that is subtle that I really appreciate, I love the minor desintergration effect on the left arm, as well as the embossed heart on the left breast, I felt that was a nice flourish.

Then there is your amazing attention to detail, yes I caught most of the retouch work on the model in terms of her make up, skin smoothing and so on, and it makes a difference. Some people don't bother with these details and focus solely on the aspects of the photo manipulation without really developing the individual pieces of their composition.

In your work I see a keen eye and attention to detail and that you focus on trying to perfect every element that makes up your composition.

This was very well done, impressive, most impressive!

The blending in this picture is nothing short of amazing and the overall concept in and of itself is genius, but your execution was flawless.

I love that the image manages to be visually balanced instead of left heavy despite the majority of the elements being positioned that way. I really enjoy how you handled the hair and used that to manipulate eye direction and bring balance to the piece.

More than just art their is a lot of design going on here that some people just wouldn't see.

This is such a beautiful piece. As someone whose life and loved ones have been affected by breast cancer, it is so touching to see someone reaching out through art and creating something beautiful in the wake of something so destructive.
