Taken at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center;

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Alaska's wildlife through public education. AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Animals that cannot be released into the wild are given a permanent home at the center.

Great shot!
They say this bear is very agressive, how could you take a pic so close of it?

well, a 300mm zoom lens and it was behind a fence at the conservation center.:D
They usually aren't aggressive unless they feel they or their babies are threatened, they are surprised, or hungry. There are of course exceptions.. but as a whole they'd rather leave us alone.
I havent managed any 'out in the wild' bear shots yet,, I did get bad black bear photos but it ran away before I could get close enough.

I love bears so much, it makes me sad to see them injured or looking so desperate... :heart:

Yeah, AWCC is a nice place... low funding so it certainly could have more 'posh' habitats for some of the critters, but in the bears cases (They have 3 or 4 brown bears and I think 2-3 black bears) They are either orphaned for whatever reason, or instead of getting killed for getting too comfy in human space they end up there where they have fenced acres to roam and are not tamed.

That's a good point, at least some of them can have a quiet life...
