Done for neosynthesis
30th Chronicle release "Blue"
I wanted to depict 'the blues', and when we're down, sad... how sometimes we can (unintentionally) feed our blues fueling it on...
When 'you' block out the good and focus on the bad/negative it seems like thats all there is, no light at the end of the tunnel. (er..hallway lol)
This was done quickly.. in about an hour I was on a deadline that I procrastinated (uninspired
) for much too long. I really want to be hyper productive in '08 having decided to stop fueling my own blues.

I think the texture doesn't quite extend uniformly over the "wings" part (so you end up with the black lines) and that doesn't quite work for me. And experiment might be to extend the texture over the lines themselves (which would make them less stark). Just a thought. But it looks fantastic, I love the blue tones (very nice careful desaturation) and the balloons are fantastic!
